Gandhi’s ashes are contained within the palace, as well as those of other prominent members of society, and the palace was used as the scene for the famous film, Gandhi. Attracting pilgrims and tourists, both domestic and international, the onsite museum houses an interesting picture gallery as well as a number of artefacts that used to belong to Gandhi.
